Cenergy Holdings announces that Hellenic Cables, its cable division, has signed a partnership agreement with Leading Light Wind, one of the largest offshore wind farms in the US, located more than 40 miles off the coast of the state of New Jersey. Hellenic Cables will supply 65 km of inter-array cables, 132kV (wind turbine interconnection cables), which form part of the overall cable needs of the project. The main project developer, Invenergy, is working with energyRe to develop Leading Light Wind.

Leading Light Wind, the only wind project being developed by U.S. companies, is owned by New York and New Jersey Bay and will generate 2,400MW of clean and reliable energy, enough to power up to one (1) million homes annually, while offsetting four (4) million tons of CO2 emissions each year when operational. Delivery of the cables is scheduled for 2030, with production of some components starting immediately at Hellenic Cables' state-of-the-art facility in Corinth. This partnership reinforces the company's position as a pioneer in providing innovative and high-performance solutions that meet the evolving needs of the renewable energy sector.
