The amount of the improved offer in the tender for the sale of 20% of Ariadni Interconnection to State Grid amounted to €62 million, ADMIE announced today (Friday).

It is recalled that Ariadni Interconnection SA is the operator of the Attica - Crete electricity interconnection and that yesterday, Thursday, it was announced that the sale of the stake to State Grid was announced.

Ariadne Interconnection is the operator of the Attica - Crete electricity interconnection, which is the largest and most complex electricity transmission project in Greece and one of the three deepest maritime interconnections worldwide.

The construction part of the project has been completed with the laying of all the submarine electrical (500kV) and optical cables, while the cabling and installation of the outdoor equipment is in the final stages.

Cable testing will begin on a trial basis in early 2025 and the cable will be operational by next summer.
