A very strong half-year ended for Vodafone Greece, with total revenues increasing to €541 million from €478 million in the same period last year, mainly due to the very good performance of Vodafone Business in the public sector.

According to the announcement, service revenues in the first half of the financial year amounted to € 465 million, up € 20 million—an increase of 4.5%—compared to € 445 million in the first half of last year.

At the same time, EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) increased by almost 18% to €117 million in the first half of the current financial year, up from €99 million in the same period last year.

While the fixed line customer base exhibited relative stability, the mobile contract customer base increased by 86,000.

The Vodafone TV pay-TV platform continued to move upwards with year-on-year growth of 20% (YoY), at the same time as the pay-TV market moved significantly lower with growth rates of 2%-3%.

Data usage also set a new record this quarter of 171 PB from 121 PB at the close of last year.
