Cenergy Holdings announces that Corinth Pipeworks, its steel pipe division, is further improving its competitive position with a series of strategic investments that will enhance its capacity and strengthen its production capabilities for the coming years.
To support its expanded customer base and strong order backlog, Corinth Pipeworks has implemented a substantial plan to strengthen its capacity and technology. Until now, the production lines for straight seam and helical submerged arc welded pipe (LSAW and HSAW, respectively) were based on the same finishing line, which created bottlenecks in production. Now, with the installation of a new, dedicated finishing line in a separate, covered area, the two lines operate independently and serve projects in parallel.
The industry's consistently high order backlog is a result of this upgrade, which has allowed the two production lines to operate independently and continuously while increasing design flexibility and shortening lead times to meet the strong demand for high-quality steel tubes in the energy sector. Increasing LSAW production is a strategic objective, with a focus on high-value-added subsea and onshore gas projects, as well as carbon capture and storage (CCS) pipelines. In parallel, the HSAW production unit will target large-diameter onshore pipelines for the transport of natural gas and hydrogen.
This investment project marks Corinth Pipeworks' commitment to remain at the forefront of welded steel pipe production and cladding technology, covering a wide range of energy infrastructure needs for years to come.
