At HoReCa, the annual international exhibition that is a meeting point for professionals in tourism, catering and hospitality equipment, and in particular at the Business Lab of the event, participated the Governor of the Independent Authority for Public Revenues, George Pitsilis.

During his speech, Mr. Pitsilis highlighted the importance of the digital transformation of the tax administration as a catalyst for enhancing entrepreneurship and healthy competition in the catering, hotel equipment and hospitality sectors.

In particular, he referred to a number of initiatives and innovations being implemented by AADE, including:

• The myDATA digital ecosystem, POS—cash register systems interconnection and electronic invoicing, which modernize tax compliance for businesses
• Specialised interconnection issues for HoReCa businesses
• The new myDATAapp, which offers businesses secure and reliable digital document issuance, customer management and financial data tracking via mobile phone
• The Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) that ADSE has entered into with digital platforms to enhance compliance in the short-term leasing sector
• The upgrading of the service through the pan-channel Taxpayer Service Centre and the new TAXIS, which is currently being implemented

The presence of the Governor of the AADE at HoReCa 2025 underlines the commitment of the tax administration in promoting digital tools that shape a transparent and competitive business environment, enhancing the growth and sustainability of businesses in the hospitality and catering sector.
