Greece’s bad loans transferred to servicers rise to 71.2b euros in 2Q

Greece’s bad loans transferred to debt services rose by 670 million euros in the second quarter, amounting to 71.2 billion euros from 70.5 billion euros in the previous quarter, data from the Bank of Greece showed. 

Serviced corporate bad loans increased to 23.9 billion euros in the second quarter from 23.5 billion euros in the first quarter. 

Loans to individuals and private non-profit institutions serviced by Credit Servicing Firms increased by 254 million euros to 37.7 billion euros at the end of the second quarter of 2023. 

Serviced consumer loans increased by 47 million euros to 15.85 billion euros, while the corresponding housing loans increased by 207 million euros to 21.5 billion euros.
