The open issues that are still outstanding are a concern for the project's implementation, despite the initial optimism that the Cypriot Council of Ministers gave the project the go-ahead. Yesterday, the Cypriot cabinet gave the go-ahead for the €1.9 billion project for the energy interconnection between Greece and Cyprus to move forward with the agreement with the Greek government and IPTO.
