Arrivals exceeded 5 million in September
Arrivals reached 5,024,857 arrivals and 22,971,551 overnight stays in the country's tourist accommodation in September this year, an increase of 2.7% in arrivals and 3.4% in overnight stays compared to the corresponding month of 2023.
Travel receipts increased in September after two months of decline
Encouraging are the figures for travel receipts in September, which after two months of decline recorded an increase, improving the balance of services to €3.6 billion, according to Bank of Greece data.

Air arrivals in Greece in the period January-August 2024 increased, as 18.9 million international air arrivals were recorded, exceeding the levels of January-August 2023 (17.5 million), showing an increase of 8.0% or 1.4 million arrivals compared to last year.
Overnight stays up 2.3% and 2.9% in July
A slight increase was recorded in arrivals and overnight stays according to the provisional monthly data on the traffic of hotel, camping and collective accommodation of short stay (rooms to let) for the reference month of July 2024.
Revenue of €11 billion in 7 months
Tourism receipts in July were down by 4.2% compared to the same month last year, although arrivals increased by 4.1%. In particular, as the Bank of Greece data show, travel receipts in July stood at €4.031 billion, compared to €4.208 billion in July 2023.

In June, ELSTAT data showed an increase of 3.6% in arrivals and 2.7% in overnight stays of tourists compared to the corresponding month of 2023.
Almost 7 million tourists in Greece in 5 months of the year
In comparison to the same period last year, the number of tourists who came to our country during the five months of January through May increased by 20.6% to 7 million. Travel receipts in the same period increased by 16.2% to 3.8 billion euros.
